Celebrate the new amenities and upgrades at beautiful Annex Park, hosted by the City of Fernie.
2 PM: Ribbon cutting, short presentation and round of thanks for the many project partners and supporters. Near corner of 12th Ave. and 16th St.
3 PM: Story time at the new Amphitheatre with Fernie Heritage Library.
Highlights of the improved Annex Park include:
- Nature-based play area including accessible play opportunities for all ages and abilities.
- Paved trail network though the park, part of the Fernie Valley Pathway.
- Outdoor amphitheater providing a space for outdoor learning and performance.
- Covered pavilion & outdoor drinking water station.
- Non-motorized boat launch at the northern end of the park.
- Dike Upgrades now providing 1:500 year flood protection for the Annex neighbourhood.
