Join other Elk Valley Sledders for the first group ride of the season to the FSA Cabin, followed by a BBQ social. It's a great time to be in the mountains! A great opportunity to meet other riders and get your stoke on for the upcoming season.
Group departs from the Coal Creek Staging Area at 10.30am to ride to the Rolling Hills Cabin to gather in celebration with a warm meal, before observing a moment of silence.
BBQ and snacks will be available at the cabin - FREE for FSA Members. Advanced registration is required to help us plan food and beverage. This is a family friendly event and a day of reflection and celebration.
Riders can then disperse for the afternoon or follow the ride back down to the staging area.
Bob Arnott was instrumental in the construction of the Rolling Hills Cabin and the daily operations as President of the Fernie Snowmobile Association. His legacy of stewardship and community spirit is recognized each winter in this ride and by an FSA scholarship awarded in his name each year to a student pursuing secondary education in the trades.
