This year, we’re celebrating Fernie’s legendary winter spirit through the strength, fire, and folklore of the North. Think frosted blues, geometric motifs, snowflakes, fur and firelight… and of course - nordic legends and the wild heart of winter coming alive.

Named Best Winter Festival by Avenue Magazine in the Best of the Mountains reader ballot! 

Be sure to purchase your Griz Pin as soon as you arrive in Fernie - or risk being thrown in Griz Jail and have to pay a fine to be released! Griz Pins go on sale in February and are widely available at retailers and venues around Fernie. Each pin has a unique number; in early March there will be a draw and the winner will receive $1,000!

The annual Griz Days Festival is traditionally Fernie's biggest event, encompassing the entire community from Fernie Alpine Resort to the Provincial Park to the Highway and Historic Downtown Fernie. It is a full, wild weekend of activities and live entertainment for all ages.
