The Ridgemont trails are some of the best to get the little ones out on foot into nature. The trailhead is close to downtown and can be accessed on foot or by vehicle. Trails such as Cemetary By-Pass to What's Up Doc are a short and mellow meander through lower forests with plenty of great spots to take photos. Be aware that these trails are multi-use and you may encounter mountain bikers along the way.

Who says that golf is an old person's game? Even if it's your first time swinging a club, anyone can rent a set and hit some balls down at Fernie Golf Club's driving range or practice putting green. Your kids may even discover their new passion.

You're going to have to fuel up for any big adventures you have with the famliy this fall. Big Bang Bagels are up  freshly baking their bagels from the the early hours ready to served with a range of sandwich-style options.  When you try one you'll understand why purposefully people stop off in town to grab a bagel.

It doesn't require much to go out for a round of disc golf (aka. frolf). The 18-hole course is found in James White Park and completely free to play. Just turn with your discs and a sense of fun!

These Glamping Yurts can be found at Fernie RV Resort on the edge of town. We guarentee you'll love the surrounding views and how close you are to the Elk River, town walking trails, and Maiden Lake.

The Vogue Theatre is a fantastic indoor option for those rainy days, or when the kids are feeling tired and needing a break.

With diving boards, slides, and floaty toys, the Fernie Aquatic Centre is a great way to entertain the family.
