Edmonton, AB - May 5, 2011 - A new air service will begin this summer from Edmonton's International Airport and the Fort McMurray Airport with direct flights from Edmonton into the Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook, BC.  Expected to start early June, the service will run year-round servicing travelers in Northern Alberta who want to experience the wealth of activities and recreation the Kootenay Region and Fernie has to offer. From fly fishing, golfing, whitewater rafting, biking, hiking and skiing in the winter.

Flights are scheduled to take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Departures in Edmonton will be at 11:15am, arriving in Cranbrook at 12:35pm, and then a 3:00pm departure from Cranbrook, arriving in Edmonton at 4:20pm. Edmonton and Cranbrook are in the same time zone. Flight costs are expected to be between $189 to $239 plus applicable taxes.
