Welcome to the 2nd Annual Heiko’s Hellish Half Marathon! Named after the founder of 'Fernie Snow Valley,' our original ski area, Heiko Socher, this race takes place on trails that Heiko himself built on Mount Fernie. Please note that details have not yet been released for 2013, all information below is from 2012 and will be updated as it is released. The date for the 2013 event is Saturday, August 24th.

The race course spans ~25km, beginning off of Hartley Road (4500ft) and ending back in town in the Annex Park (3300ft).  Racers will be bussed from Fernie to the starting line. Notable elevations along the way in order, Three Sisters Pass (7500ft),  Windy Pass (7000ft) and Mt. Fernie Ridge (6500ft).  Overall, 4000ft of vertical gain and over a mile of descent.
