Accessed near the top the Island Lake road, the Tamarack trail winds its way up the west ridge line of Mount Fernie. Take the time to visit the view point, just a 15 minute walk off course and worth it! Overlooking Island Lake and the Lizard Range, this is a great place for lunch. Continue up the Tamarack trail to the peak, crossing Heiko’s Trail, and reach the dramatic summit. 4-5 hours
