Fernie offers excellent kayaking, canoeing and rafting adventures for those experienced. From float trips to full white water, the river's in the area offer a wealth of excitement, scenery and relaxation. If you're of the angling type bring your fly rod as well (and a license to fish).

The 3 main rivers of interest are the Elk, the Bull and the Wigwam. The best source of information for river levels, put-ins and take-outs, levels of difficulty and even for finding paddling partners are through the local rafting operators and the local sport shops in downtown Fernie.
